FX Prime Coat Colors are 100% compatible with our Premium Clear FX Poxy Epoxy and will not affect its high UV resistance. FX Prime Coat Colors are designed to be mixed with our Premium Clear FX Poxy Epoxy as a base coat for your countertop, bartop or table top, unless you purchase one of our pre-assembled Countertop Epoxy Color Kits, which come pre-colored. FX Prime Coat Colors are also used to paint the vertical edges of your countertop, bartop or table top. Use of other colorants that may be incompatible with our Premium Clear FX Poxy Epoxy and have unknown UV resistance is not recommended. FX Prime Coat Colors should be used within 3 months of purchase date. It is advised, with a dominantly white coating, to take extra caution with direct heat, including slow-cookers, pressure cookers, or anything that might produce direct heat to the surface for longer periods of time... we recommend using a hot pad for extra protection to prevent any discoloring.
Prime Coat Colors have an expected shelf life of about 3 months, if stored correctly. If a light skin forms on the top, you can remove it and stir the liquid to get it back to the proper consistency.
**It is not recommend using the White Prime Coat outside as it can fade/yellow in direct sunlight.

First time using on my kitchen counter top and I can't believe how similar it is to the real marble. You can't almost tell it is eposy. It came out beautiful. My only complain is that the they don't tell you enough that the Prime Coat color will get very very hard to the point that it can't be used any more. You will have to spend another $37 for a new one if the job isn't finished. I wish they had a video explaining that. But now that I know how to use it, I'll buy again. Good investment.

First Time Epoxy Tabletop turns out Fantastic
Posted by Kenny Dresel on Aug 3rd 2018
My daughter has an old solid wood living room table from her sorority days in storage. I built a greeting counter at our gym with epoxy countertops so she asked about resurfacing this table. It’s approx 8 sq ft so the perfect first project for her. She wanted a white marble-ish look so we ordered: white primer, white pearl, Charcoal and gold. The product was easy to use, great to work with and the result was gorgeous. No surprises. The videos on the website were extremely helpful.
